About my art
My work as a freelance photographer focusses mainly on events and corporate ‘headshots’. Now retired (though still doing events shoots occasionally), I am moving more towards using photography as a means of artistic expression, reaching beyond the technicalities of my usual photographic jobs to find new ways of abstraction and interpretation of reality.
These series of images, available as prints or on various mounts, express a personal view on the world inspired by a minimalistic surrealism often found in contemporary Belgian art. Indeed, I often seek to re-interpret this art through my specific vision. Though the harsh edge of reality is tactically shaved off to let the soul dream, I aim to harness the beauty of the real world as the main element of my vocabulary.
